Tilt sensor (2GIG-TILT1E-345)
Keep tabs on garage doors and other hinged openings. The 2GIG-TILT1E-345 is an eSeries encrypted wireless tilt sensor that trips when the device is tilted 45° or more, then restores when it returns to less than 45°. It communicates on 345 MHz and is ideal for garage doors, mailbox doors, large pet doors, and storm-cellar doors.

Why Choose This with Smart Shield Systems
- Correct mounting & testing: we install the sensor near the top panel of the garage door (vertical when closed), verify 45° activation, and confirm restores—so you don’t get nuisance alerts.
- Encrypted where it matters: we pair the TILT1e with your GC2e/GC3e/EDGE panel for authenticated, tamper-resistant signaling and label events clearly in your app.
- Range & battery validation: we RF-test to the panel (~350 ft open air spec) and document the CR2032 battery with 5–8-year typical life.
Key Features
- E-series encryption for secure 345 MHz communication to compatible 2GIG panels.
- 45° tilt trigger with automatic restore below 45°.
- Cover tamper & low-battery reporting to the panel.
- Compact, battery-powered design (CR2032) with ~5–8 years typical life.
Product Specifications (At-a-Glance)
- Model: 2GIG-TILT1e-345 (encrypted); legacy non-encrypted version TILT1-345 also exists.
- Radio / Range: 345 MHz; ~350 ft open air (site-dependent).
- Activation / Restore: trips at ≥45° tilt; restores <45°.
- Power: 1× CR2032 lithium coin cell; ~5–8 yr life (typical).
- Operating env.: 0–120 °F (-17.8–49 °C); 5–85% RH (non-cond.).
- Dimensions: ≈1.72″ L × 1.09″ W × 0.95″ D.
Compatibility Notes
- Works with 2GIG GC2e (FW 1.14+), GC3e, and EDGE; designed for Alarm.com-enabled systems. For non-eSeries legacy 345 MHz panels, use TILT1-345.
- Indoor use only: manufacturer notes no ingress rating and limited outdoor use—mailbox installs may be temperature-dependent.
Popular Use Cases
- Sectional garage doors (primary use)
- Mailbox doors (environment permitting)
- Large pet doors or hinged crawl-space / cellar doors
Frequently Asked Questions
Near the top of the top panel, oriented vertical when closed so it tips past 45° as the door opens.
No. The TILT1e has no ingress rating and an operating range of 0–120 °F; it’s intended for indoor locations (garage interior side).
GC2e (FW 1.14+), GC3e, and EDGE. If you have a non-eSeries 2GIG panel, choose TILT1-345 instead.
A CR2032 coin cell; typical life is about 5–8 years. Your panel will announce low battery well before replacement.
Approximately 350 ft open air; real-world range varies with construction. We test during installation to ensure reliable supervision.
